Preventive Dental Care in Edinburgh

The basis of good oral health is preventive dental care by, for example, appropriate oral hygiene measures, reducing the frequency of consumption of sugary foods and visiting the dentist when recommended.

At Marchmont Dental Care your dentist can give you lots of advice and support with regards to preventive dental practice and caring for your teeth and gums.

Here at Marchmont Dental Care we aim to prevent disease rather than having to treat it. To maintain your oral health you should follow the advice of your dentist relating to your individual treatment.

How you care for your teeth and gums at home plays a major role in preventing dental problems and will help you maintain an attractive smile, eat in comfort and minimise the need for any future dental treatment.

Medical research continues to present more and more evidence linking gum (periodontal) disease as a risk factor for a range of systemic medical conditions including heart disease, diabetes, respiratory disease and pregnancy complications.

If you have any questions concerning your part in your oral health care or symptoms that are causing you concern, please do contact us here at Marchmont Dental Care for more information on best preventive dental practice.
